Meet Agamroop Kaur
Fighting for the Next Generation
2022 Barrie Fiske National Youth Advocate of the Year Agamroop Kaur started her tobacco control advocacy in order to protect her family and community. After seeing the way that the tobacco industry infiltrated her surroundings, she created the documentary Big Tobacco, BIGGER Epidemic to call attention to the youth e-cigarette epidemic. By exposing the ways Big Tobacco targets kids, Agamroop is fighting so that her younger siblings, cousins and the students who come after her can learn and grow in a safe environment.
I stay motivated to take on the toughest fights by remembering the reason I started in the first place: my sister, my cousins, and my community.
