Statement of Matthew L. Myers, President, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids congratulates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on their election as President and Vice President of the United States. The people have spoken through the legitimate democratic process that saw a record number of Americans cast their votes even in the midst of a deadly pandemic. We welcome President-Elect Biden’s strong commitment to uniting our nation to address the enormous challenges before us, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the urgent quest for social justice and racial equality. We look forward to working with the Biden-Harris Administration in meeting these challenges and advancing the fight against tobacco use, the leading cause of preventable death in the United States.
