Melissa Schulman

Melissa A. Schulman is the Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs at CVS Health. In this role, she leads the lobbying, advocacy, and regulatory work for CVS Health at the state and Federal level. The government affairs team works across all 50 states, in Congress and the Executive branch. She has been in her role at CVS Health for ten years. Melissa also oversees all public affairs advocacy campaigns in support of CVS Health. Melissa spent fourteen years on Capitol Hill, serving in senior staff roles. While on Capitol Hill, she served as Executive Director of the Democratic Caucus and Policy Director to Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and worked for Rep. Thomas Manton (D-NY) and Geraldine Ferraro (D-NY). Schulman also served as the key staff person for Congressman Steny Hoyer, the lead sponsor of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Leaving Capitol Hill in 1998, she has been advising corporations, non-profits and trade associations on their government affairs strategies for over 25 years. As well as being a member of the Board of Directors for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, she serves on the Boards of the Public Affairs Council and on the Corporate Advisory Council to the Public Sector HealthCare Roundtable.
