Washington, DC - On Friday, January 16, CAMPAIGN FOR TOBACCO-FREE KIDS’ President Bill Novelli will speak before The City Club of Cleveland, one of the premier speakers’ forums in the country. He will address the epidemic of tobacco use (use among high school seniors is at a 19-year high), the difficulties involved in changing the nation’s tobacco culture and marketplace practices, and the important litigation and Congressional legislation that are moving forward. Novelli is the co-founder and former president of Porter/Novelli, the fourth largest public relations agency In the United States. He also served as executive vice president of CARE, the international relief and development organization. He is a recognized leader in the international emergence of social marketing -- the application of marketing principles and practices to social change. The City Club of Cleveland was founded in 1912 and is the oldest continuous speakers series in the nation.
