Diane Disney Miller Cared About Kids, Just Like Her Father

WASHINGTON, DC – Diane Disney Miller, who died Tuesday at age 79, was a private person for most of her life, but also became known publicly for her passionate commitment to the arts and to preserving the memory of her father.
She was also deeply committed to helping rid America’s young people of the danger they faced from tobacco. We are grateful for her service on our Board of Directors and for her support for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’ Youth Advocates of the Year Awards program, which honors and supports young leaders in the fight against tobacco.
Diane Disney Miller displayed the same love and appreciation for children as her father did. She loved her father dearly, and in the end, will be remembered for sharing his caring for the most vulnerable members of our American family. Our sympathy and gratitude go out to her husband and the rest of her family.
