This award recognizes international tobacco control advocates who both contribute significantly to reducing tobacco use and inspire others to do the same, in the spirit exemplified by Judy Wilkenfeld, the late leader of our international program. The 2012 recipient is Veronica Schoj, MD, Executive Director of the InterAmerican Heart Foundation Argentina and past coordinator of the Argentina Smoke-free Alliance.
