There was a study done early on, I think sometime in the late '70s, early '80s, that looked at the margin of the pharmacological effects of nicotine. And there was a draft that was presented that had from .4 to 1.2 milligrams of nicotine were required, in that range, to maintain smokers. Q. What do you mean by "maintain smokers"? MR. BEZANSON: Object to the form. MR. MOTLEY: Q. What do you mean by that? A. Keep them using the product. Q. In other words, keep them purchasing the product in order to maintain the level of satisfaction for nicotine? A. That's correct.
