I'm writing today to urge you to support a smoke-free Boone County.

Hundreds of cities and counties (including 20 Kentucky communities) 24 states, the District of Columbia, and entire countries have passed smoke-free laws that cover all restaurants, bars and taverns. It's time for residents of Boone County to be protected from secondhand smoke as well.

Strong smoke-free laws that include all workplaces are the only effective way to protect ALL workers and the public from the serious health hazards of secondhand smoke.

Each day without a smoke-free law Northern Kentuckians are exposed to the 4,000 chemicals in secondhand smoke, including 69 that cause cancer.

We are at a critical time when your voice will make the difference. Please work to make a smoke-free Boone County a reality.
