18th Annual Youth Advocates of the Year Awards Gala
On May 15, 2014, the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids celebrated an historic year of taking on the tobacco epidemic at our 18th Annual Youth Advocates of the Year Awards Gala in Washington, DC at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Together with over 450 business, philanthropic and government leaders, we celebrated the achievements of our remarkable Youth Advocates of the Year; Champion Award Winner, Larry J. Merlo, President and Chief Executive Officer of CVS Caremark Corporation; and Wilkenfeld Award Winner, Dmitriy Yanin of Russia. This year is particularly special in that it marked the 50th anniversary of the first Surgeon General's Report on Smoking and Health. You could feel the energy and excitement in the room as we reveled in this year's history-making progress towards creating a tobacco-free generation and ending the tobacco epidemic for good.
This year was one of our best galas to date and we want to thank all of our honorees, guests, partners and vendors for making this event another memorable success.
We look forward to next year's event and we hope you will join us!
